These groff macros feature cover page and table of contents generation, automatically numbered headings, several paragraph styles, a variety of text styling options, footnotes, multi-column page layouts, and support for PDF features when using ‘-T pdf’. ms supports the tbl, eqn, pic, and refer preprocessors for inclusion of tables, mathematical equations, diagrams, and consistently formatted bibliographic citations. groff ms is mostly compatible with the documented interface and behavior of AT&T Unix Version 7 ms. It recreates most extensions from 4.2BSD (Berkeley) and Research Tenth Edition Unix.
